This is an illustrated presentation that will consider some of the more common problems facing writers of historical fiction, the less predictable pitfalls authors may trip into and some possibilities offered by the creative use of the world wide web.

Tony Rea is an author of history and historical fiction based in south Devon, England.

Tonys’ first novel, Red Sky Over Dartmoor, was published in 2017 and the sequel, The Road to Enniskean, is due for publication soon. He is currently working with Sapere Books on a series of World War 2 action novels based on the RAF pilot Bounce Springer. Tony’s output is somewhat eclectic - ranging from GCSE textbooks, a history of South Devon in the Great War and his PhD thesis published in book form. He has also written a number of short stories and a stage play about the Great War.

Apart from writing, Tony enjoys Dartmoor, the sea and spending time with an ever-expanding family.
