Poetry Competition

EARTH

In the run up to the festival we are running a poetry competition with winners to be announced at the festival.

Poems should be on the theme of ‘Earth’, which can be interpreted in any way desired. There are three age categories: primary (5 to 11 years), secondary (11- 18 years), adult (18 years and over). Shortlisted entries will be printed and displayed at the festival where there will also be an illustration workshop and activity running at the festival to illustrate one of the poems of your choice.

There will be a prize of a £15 book token per category. Winning poems will be read out at the festival and the winners will be announced by TV and radio presenter Justin Leigh, on the Saturday at 1pm.

The closing date for entries is Sunday 9th October. Poem submissions should be emailed to dartmooredge@gmail.com including the name of author, title of entry and category entered in the body of the email. Please submit just one entry per person.
